The Queens Zoo is offering NEW programs for your children and teens this summer.

Toddler Time Camp

Join us each day for an hour-long opportunity for children and their caregivers to meet the wonderful furry, scaly, feathery animals in the zoo. Live animals, movement, musical activities, and a craft are part of the fun.

Ages: 2 - 3 with caregiver
Dates: July 2, 3, 5 & 7
Times: 10:30 – 11:30 am
Fee: Members $90; Non-members $110 for all sessions

Kinderzoo

In this 5-day camp, we'll explore animal colors, animal families and what animals eat! Crafts, hands-on activities, and animal guests are all part of the fun!

Ages: 4 - 5 years old
Dates: Session I - June 25 – June 29
Session II - August 27 – 31
Times: 9 am – 1pm
Fee: Members $250; Non-Members $275 per session

Week of Wildlife

During this 5-day adventure we'll explore animal groups including mammals, reptiles, birds and amphibians. We'll also learn about invertebrates and decomposition and learn how to care for a compost bin!

Ages: 6 - 7 years old
Dates: Session I - July 9 – 13
Session II - July 30 – August 3
Times: 9:00 am – 3:00 pm
Fee: Members $300; Non-Members $325 per session

Zoo Explorer

Your child is in for a wild adventure! Campers will be immersed into the world of American wildlife through special investigations, interactive games, creative projects, animal guests and much more. Whether they are slithering like a snake or leaping like puma, campers are sure to take an important conservation message home!

Ages: 8 - 9 years old
Dates: July 16 - 20
Times: 9:00 am – 3:00 pm
Fee: Members $300; Non-Members $325

Junior Keepers

Want to be a zookeeper when you grow up? Find out about keeper responsibilities in this 5-day program. Meet keepers, go behind-the-scenes and help prepare special treats for several zoo critters. A special focus on exhibits such as pumas, Andean bears or the aviary will inspire the junior keeper to design an exhibit of their own for the end of the week "Exhibit Fair."

Ages: 10 - 12 years old
Dates: July 23 - 27
Times: 9:00 am – 3:00 pm
Fee: Members $300; Non-Members $325

Teens Internship

Does your teen have an interest in a career working with wildlife? In this exciting 3-week program, teens learn about how to care for the animals at the Queens Zoo. Each day, they will participate in a variety of activities, meet special guests, and work on projects that will expose them to the world of animals. Interns will also design and conduct an animal behavior study and engage in an urban ecology restoration project. They also have the opportunity to work alongside keepers to care for some of our animals.

Ages: 13 -17 years old
Dates: August 6 – August 24
Times: 9:00 am – 3:00 pm
Fee: Members $1,000; Non-Members $1,250 (for 3-week session)
