Sea Lion Pool
At the heart of the park, bark hello to California sea lions and relax on the terrace. Three daily feeding demonstrations for the Zoo’s noisiest residents make the sea lion pool one of our most popular attractions.
What to See and Do
Sea lion feeding: 11:15 a.m., 2:00 p.m., & 4:00 p.m.
Whether they’re high-fiving their keepers, showing off their dives, or catching fish on the fly, our aquatic acrobats love to impress a crowd.
Meet the keepers.
While the sea lions chow down, zookeepers demonstrate how they check the animals’ health and give other routine care.
Learn about life on shore.
Read about a sea lion’s life on land. Mating, birthing, and the rearing of young takes place out of water.
Enjoy a snack from the new café.
Overlooking the sea lion pool, the Zoo’s new café offers indoor and outdoor tables and makes a relaxing pitstop.
